Josoor Institute, a centre of excellence for the sports and events industries, inspired and developed by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) has recently completed the delivery of programmes focused on sports and events protocol.

The programmes consisted of a two-day workshop, an executive networking session exclusively for senior management, a student outreach session delivered at Qatar University and a masterclass session. Delegates who attended these programmes learnt and discussed about the Marhaba experience, a concept that may be applied to visitors and guests from the moment they arrive in Qatar until they are bid farewell. 

Protocol management was used as the basis for training during the programmes. The programmes looked at the various skills required to ensure smooth and successful delivery of any major event. The sessions delivered also assisted stakeholders to identify the roles they will play in service delivery and focus attention on what their training needs are in order to tailor appropriate protocol training programmes for their staff for a mega event such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Over 130 delegates from government, private organisations and Universities across Qatar attended the programmes. The world-class speakers who delivered the sessions came from the SC, Formula E, British Champions Series Ltd & Great British Racing International and PrivatAir.
